Training & Professional Support

KVOU provides structured orientation and ongoing training aligned with Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) requirements. Training focuses on health and safety, person‑centered practices, individual rights, and supporting the implementation of each person’s Individual Support Plan.

Staff receive required training such as CPR and First Aid certification, job related knowledge and skills, and access to online learning platforms, including Relias, to support ongoing skill development.

In addition, KVOU invests in employee growth by covering the cost of Direct Support Professional (DSP) and Front‑Line Supervisor (FLS) credentialing for eligible staff who choose to pursue certification.
